California has been under a severe drought for several years. I visited Lake Hodges this past weekend and I could see some of the effects of the drought on the lake. Despite the absence of rain, the natural vegetation, which is adaptable to the dry conditions, is alive and still grows.
Hope your weekend will be full of vitamin D, and smiles as well. Shabbat Shalom to some of you! 🙂
His big smile is shared with all his kind, generous, and committed friends from many parts of the world, among them: Anne (KY), Donna (MA), Sophie, Anne, Kristallina, Barbara, Stefanie and Martin, Lena, Laura, Enrico, Pat, Amanda, Anne (Ukraine), Pierrette, Nia, Herve’, Estelea and the wonderful and always smiling “Filipino fan club”, Ana (FL), Georges, Cathie, Gallivanta, Susanne, Ullis, Cindy, Replicant Core, PuzzleBlume, Henk, Irene, The Compassionate Garden, Kalosf, and several others I am certainly forgetting to mention (I am sorry!) Special thanks also to our families in Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.S. 🙂
This series is dedicated to the brave people of San Diego who watched or marched at the LGBT Pride Parade, despite the torrential rain of today. Special mention is made to the Temple Emanu-El team (we are used to dry conditions, but we proved that we can outperform under any type of weather ). You will note that no photo of the parade is shown here. I decided to give all my attention to the march. The interaction with the public is a very rich and rewarding experience. Thank you!
A wonderful artist; a wonderful mind.
Eid Hadaleen, a self-taught artist from the village (Umm al-Khair), fashions perfect miniatures, using pliers, cutting and hammering tools, and iron wiring that has been heated up. (From Haaretz)
They use their hearts and minds in everything they do.
A great weekend to all of you, and Shabbat Shalom to some of you! 🙂
